Devizes Under 16 have played their last game as a team before moving on to Colts Rugby. The Vase final against Lytchett Minster saw them come back from 5-7 down at half time to run out winners 31 -14 following a stirring and memorable second half fight back. Lead Coach Steve Melville was full of praise "this small squad of players has a great blend of talent, determination and importantly a desire to play for each other. Most teams can not match us when things are in the balance, the boys know what is expected on the pitch and the reward is not in the winning but knowing you have given your best for your teammates".
Gabe Armstrong returned for the final following a serious dislocation of his shoulder in the early rounds only to dislocate it again. Gabe is an example of the spirit running through the team and after 10 years of training and playing together the squad blends into the Colts and further success awaits. Well done boys!
